It has been several years now since I first started my Paleo journey.
And yeah there was quite an adjustment. I remember at the time, there appeared to be so few choices available anywhere – supermarkets, cafes or restaurants – compared to my previous “healthy diet”.
Thankfully, my family helped work my way through it and were happy to try a Paleo recipe or two to add a little variety.
The benefits of not eating refined sugar, grains or processed food, far outweigh those early frustrating days. These include eliminating constant hunger & mid morning drowsiness, improved sleep, clearer skin and more consistent weight.
There are a couple of items non-paleo items though that I do include in my daily eating plan. One of these being unflavored greek yogurt to help with my gut bacteria and the other is coffee.
I have not always been a coffee drinker, but for the last few years I’ve enjoyed a cup in the morning and afternoon. And recently, although well aware of the chemicals used to make it, made the switch to decaf in the afternoon.
When my wife came across Republica 100% Pure Decaffinated Coffee, I was really keen to try.
Ok so it’s no barista special but I think it’s quite good.
I have heard some people say they are not so keen on the taste, but for me I quite enjoy it.
Thought you might like to try this as well.
So keep in touch and see you out on the trails.
